MTV2 Reviving ‘Celebrity Deathmatch’

MTV has jumped on the revival train and picked the perfect show to resurrect. The network has confirmed that they’ll be bringing back their hit claymation series Celebrity Deathmatch.

The Hollywood Reporter was the first to break the awesome news today, revealing that the network has greenlit a pilot for the animated series to air on MTV2, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it was ultimately handed a full season order.

The series originally aired from 1998-2002 and pitted top celebrities against each other in violent (animated) fights to the death. THR is also reporting that “Celebrity Deathmatch creator Eric Fogel and Wasteland Entertainment are behind the new incarnation, with Chris McCarthy and Paul Ricci also on board as EPs.”

Are you excited to see the series make a comeback? Which celebs do you want to see battle it out to the (animated) death? Talk to us in the comments below!
