‘iZombie’ Renewed for Second Season

Liv will live to see a second season, thanks to news of iZombie‘s CW renewal that broke today.

The series follows Liv Moore, played by the adorable Rose McIver, a promising young medical student who was scratched by a zombie during a party one night and has been hiding the fact that she was turned into one of the undead ever since. Liv works at a morgue in order to keep a steady supply of brains at her fingertips and, oh yeah, she gets flashes of the lives of whoever’s brain she eats, so she helps solve their murders as well.

It was announced today by The CW that fans will get to see Liv cope with her new condition for another season, and joins the likes of the networks other renewed shows including The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Supernatural, Jane the Virgin, Arrow and The Flash, among others.

According to Deadline,”The renewal was fully expected as the offbeat comic book adaptation was well received by critics and it is well liked creatively by the network’s brass who like the chance to be in business with Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas and believe in the breakout potential of star Rose McIver.”
