‘Girl Meets World’ Stars Ben Savage and Rowan Blanchard Tease ‘Boy Meets World’ Returns

Girl Meets World returns for its second season premiere tonight and stars Ben Savage and Rowan Blanchard teased some details about the return of our favorite Boy Meets World characters.

Fans know that the BMW stars that are set to appear in the show’s second season include: Mr. Feeny, Corey’s older brother Eric, Corey’s other half Shawn Hunter, Corey and Shawn’s old teacher Mr. Turner, Shawn’s dead father Chet Hunter and Shawn’s first love Angela. Now, thanks to TV Line, we have an idea of what these characters will be bringing to the updated story.

Check out what the father-daughter pair had to tease about the return of some of our beloved Boy Meets World alums:

Mr. Feeny

“He has a great role in the premiere, and in ‘Girl Meets Pluto,’” teases Blanchard. “We go back to Pennsylvania and Riley and I do the Feeny call! It was so intimidating. You don’t want to mess that up, so Michael [Jacobs] would show us clips of Will [Friedle] doing it, then we would try to mimic him. Obviously we’re not as good as he was, but we tried.”

Angela

“This is one of the strongest episodes we’ve ever done,” Savage says of “Girl Meets Hurricane,” in which Shawn’s ex-girlfriend re-enters the fold. “We tie up a lot of loose ends.” Adds Blanchard, “We call it a ‘hurricane’ because it’s all these characters thrown into a situation where they have to come to terms with what’s happened in the past.”

Mr. Turner

When we last saw Anthony Tyler Quinn’s character in 1997, he’d been pretty banged up, but you’ll happy to know he’s made a full recovery. “We do address that,” Savage says of Mr. Turner’s accident. “He has not been in a coma all these years; he’s been very active in our lives, so yes, he recovered miraculously.” (Mr. Turner returns in “Girl Meets New Teacher.”)

See what else was teased about returning castmembers here.

Also, we’ll forever be thankful to TV Line for this:
