Here’s your Atlanta Weekly Filming Roundup covering the week of May 10th- May 16th!

Coming Soon

  • Sleepy Hollow will begin filming in Newton County this summer.
  • The first film for the final chapter of the Divergent series Allegiant is supposed to start filming in the state this month.

Currently in Production

  • Captain America: Civil War production is in full swing and has been spotted filming all over the city. They were spotted filming at Norfolk Southern Building in Atlanta, 125 Spring St SW Atlanta and Buckhead Ave NE and N Fulton Dr NE in Atlanta when they converted Buckhead into London

  • More Captain America set pics
  • The Walking Dead filmed out at the Gin Property in Senoia and in Newnan at the Vulcan Materials Company.

  • The Founder, starring Michael Keaton along with two other movies are being filmed in Cherokee County.
  • Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk starring Vin Diesel, Kristen Stewart, Garrett Hedlund and more was spotted filming at America’s Mart in Atlanta
  • Rings filmed at the Boute Tree Service on Bolton Rd in Atlanta and signs were also spotted on Cherokee Street. Filming signs were also spotted near Ellsworth Industrial in Atlanta.
  • Signs for Alvin and the Chipmunks 4 were spotted at Piedmont and Lambert. The movie filmed at The Gold Room this week as well.

  • A filming sign for Barbershop 3 was on the corner of Ponce de Leon and Peachtree St.

Celebrity Sightings

  • Jon Hamm was spotted hanging out around the city, including enjoying himself at a Hawks game this week

  • Scarlett Johansson and Anthony Mackie were seen at a Hawks game as well!
  • Chris Evans was spotted in full Captain America mode on set. The star was also spotted working out “at an upscale, private facility in the Midtown area, not far from where the project filmed on Monday.”
  • Tom Cruise, who is in town filming Mena, grabbed some grub from Ecco last weekend.
  • Alvin the chipmunk was spotted having lunch with friends at Chops Lobster Bar in Buckhead

  • Iron Man (aka Robert Downey Jr.) was spotted hanging out around town with his wife
