‘Glee’ Star Harry Shum Jr. Joins ‘Shadowhunters’
The cast of Shadowhunters is steadily growing, withGlee alum Harry Shum Jr.being the latest addition.
Harry joins the new young adult fantasy series cast as Magnus Bane, the high warlock of Brooklyn who’s got an eccentric style and a fierce, cunning personality. Magnus keeps his cards close to his chest and while he looks like he’s in his 20s, don’t be fooled… he’s actually hundreds of years old – which makes him wiser and wary of others.
The series is based on The Mortal Instruments novels and will follow the story of Clary Fray as she’s thrown into the world of demon hunting after her mother Jocelyn is kidnapped. She travels with mysterious Shadowhunter Jace and her best friend Simon, and living among faeries, warlocks, vampires and werewolves, Clary begins a journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her past and what her future may hold.
Harry joins castmembers Katherine McNamara as Clary Fray, Dominic Sherwood as Jace, Matthew Daddario as Alec Lightwood, Isaiah Mustafa as Luke Garroway, Alan Van Sprang as Valentine, Alberto Rosende as Simon and Emeraude Toubia as Isabelle.
