‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Star Rebel Wilson Responds to Age Controversy

Pitch Perfect 2 star Rebel Wilson is tired of your conversations about her age and has finally spoken out to put the reports to rest (sort of).

The star’s age was known to be 29-years old, but has been called into question over the past few days thanks to multiple media claims that she’s actually almost a decade older. The claims seem to have been started by a Australian tabloid Woman’s Day, who published an article claiming that she is actually 36-year-old Melanie Bownds.

In true Rebel fashion she responded to the rumors via Twitter writing, “OMG I’m actually a 100 year old mermaid formerly known as “CC Chalice” ….thanks shady Australian press for your tall poppy syndrome”

We love Rebel’s straightforward, no holds barred personality and the way she chose to respond to such trivial reports was awesome. Way to go girl!
