J.K. Rowling’s ‘Fantastic Beasts’ Trilogy Eyes Dakota Fanning, Saoirse Ronan and More

A whole slew of starlets, including Dakota Fanning and Saoirse Ronan, are being eyed for roles in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, J.K. Rowling’s new Harry Potter spinoff franchise.

In addition to Ronan and Fanning,  Lili Simmons and Alison Sudol are also up for the role of Tina, the supposed love interest for Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander, while Kate Upton, Katherine Waterston and Elizabeth Debicki are being eyed to play Tina’s older sister, Queenie, reports The Wrap

Although a spin-off from the wildly popular Harry Potter series, the events of Fantastic Beasts actually take place about seven decades before Potter’s story even begins. The story follows the adventures of Newt Scamander and is based on the Hogwarts textbook he eventually ends up writing detailing said adventures.

It’s also being reported that Dan Fogler, Zack Pearlman, and Steve Zissis are all in the running for the role of Newt’s rival, Jacob.

The first Fantastic Beasts movie is scheduled to debut November 18, 2016.

Which stars would you like to see land roles in the trilogy?
