It’s Finally Here! Lionsgate Releases First ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 2 ’ Teaser

Lionsgate has finally released the first teaser trailer for the final chapter of The Hunger Games franchise, Mockingjay-Part 2, and it looks epic.

“Nothing good is safe while Snow’s alive.” Katniss’ sentiments are echoed by almost all of Panem now and as the full out war against Snow continues, the action is ratcheted up 10 notches. The trailer gives fans a look at a rehabilitated Peeta, an Annie/Finnick wedding and our first look at Gwendoline Christie as Commander Lyme, a District 2 victor who ends up aiding Katniss and the others in the rebellion agains the Capitol. Oh yeah, and tons of stuff blows up.

With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow [Donald Sutherland] in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale [Liam Hemsworth], Finnick [Sam Claflin], and Peeta [Josh Hutcherson] – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to liberate the citizens of Panem, and stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.
