HBO’s ‘The Leftovers’ Season Two Promo Explains Series’ New Setting

Fans who have been wondering how The Leftovers will explain their big move in the show’s second season have gotten their answer thanks to a new teaser released by HBO.

When news broke of the show’s upcoming season leaving the fictional town of Mapleton, New York and heading to Texas, lots of fans were confused about how the move would fit into the plot of the story, and rightfully so. The new teaser that HBP released today answers that question and will leave you even more anxious for the show’s second season premiere.

The returning cast is heading to the fictional town of Jarden, Texas because it’s the only place in the world that wasn’t affected by the departure, the event that happened more than three years ago, when 2% of the world’s population inexplicably vanished. No country, no state, no city was spared, except for Jarden, population: 9261. Departures: Zero. It looks like everyone is gravitating to the last place on earth that has any semblance of normalcy and hope.
