‘Shadowhunters’ Adds Newcomer Jade Hassouné
ABC Family’s TV adaptation of The Mortal Instruments novels, Shadowhunters, has cast newcomer Jade Hassouné in a recurring guest star role.
The network announced today that the Heartland and Cyberbully star has signed on to play handsome and elegant fairy Meliorn, also known as a Seelie. Meliorn is described as a creature that is equal parts angel and demon, which sounds equal parts hot and scary.
Shadowhuntersfollows the story of Clary Fray as she’s thrown into theworld of demon hunting after her mother Jocelyn is kidnapped. She travels with mysterious Shadowhunter Jace and her best friend Simon, and living among faeries, warlocks, vampires and werewolves, Clary begins a journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her past and what her future may hold.
Hassouné joins castmembers Katherine McNamara as Clary Fray, Dominic Sherwood as Jace, Matthew Daddario as Alec Lightwood, Isaiah Mustafa as Luke Garroway,Alan Van Sprang as Valentine, Harry Shum Jr. as Magnus Bane, Kaitlyn Leeb as Camille Belcourt, Alberto Rosende as Simon and Emeraude Toubia as Isabelle.
Shadowhunters doesn’t have a premiere date yet, but we’ll be sure to let you know what it is as soon as we hear!
