Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg Face Off in ‘Daddy’s Home’

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are back together again, but this time it’s stepdad vs dad in their new film Daddy’s Home.

The actors previously starred in buddy cop film The Other Guys in 2010 which was a huge success, grossing over $150 million, and now they pair are joining forces, although not on the same team, once again.

Daddy’s Home centers on Ferrell, who plays a mild-mannered radio executive, as he strives to become the best stepdad he can be to his wife’s two children. He hits a roadblock, however, once the kids’ freeloading biological father, played by Wahlberg, arrives, making the two men compete for the affection of the children.

In the trailer, we see that the movie will be complete with tons of one-upmanship. When Ferrell goes to put the kids to bed with their usual routine of goodnight kisses, Wahlberg offers them $20 each. When Wahlberg sees an unfinished treehouse that Ferrell started with his kids, he takes it upon himself to finish it. Ferrell eventually goes all out, getting his stepdaughter a pony for Christmas. In addition to spoiled kids, this film is also sure to produce a lot of laughs.
