‘American Horror Story Star’ Kathy Bates on Lady Gaga’s ‘Hotel’ Arrival: ‘I’m Very Curious’
Kathy Bates has sliced and diced her way into the fans of American Horror Story‘s hearts and now that the Oscar winner will be making her return to the series for the third time, she’s seasoned enough to be asked about the newcomers, like Lady Gaga, and what she thinks they’ll bring to the series.
Bates recently sat down with Larry King on the Emmy nominated series Larry King Now to talk about the new season of AHS and of course Kind had to ask her about her new co-star, Lady Gaga.
Although when asked for details about Gaga’s role, Bates simply said, “I can’t tell you,” she did go on to express her full support of Gaga’s joining the cast. “I’m very curious. She seems to be very much of an actress and performer.” She adds, “When she sang at the Oscars my jaw dropped.”
This season’s cast is full of returning players, and sprinkled with a handful of new ones. AHS vets Angela Bassett, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Finn Wittrock, Chloe Sevigny, Wes Bentley and Matt Bomer are returning to the series, along with newbies Lady Gaga, Cheyenne Jackson and Max Greenfield.
