Maisie Williams was given one condition when it came to her guest spot in the new season of Doctor Who.
In the words of the great River Song “Spoilers!”. It’s no secret that the 18-year-old Game of Thrones star, who plays Arya Stark in the show, will be a guest during the new season of Doctor Who (although her exact role is being kept under wraps), but for the cast of the show, it was imperative that the plot details of GoT remained a secret.
According to The Independent, “Lead actor Peter Capaldi “didn’t want to know anything at all” about future plotlines from Williams” leading to the banning of all Game of Thrones spoiler talk while Maisie was on set.
No further details about Williams’ role were divulged, but Capaldi spoke highly of her talents, calling her performance “cosmic” and saying, “I love cosmic, it’s such a great word, it covers so many bases,” he said. “She’s wonderful in it, and also, what’s great about Maisie, she changes, she metamorphosises. She’s metamorphic.”
Other guest stars confirmed for the new season include Rufus Hound, Simon Lipkin, Ian Conningham, Murray McArthur, Tom Stourton, Ariyon Bakare, John Voce, Barnaby Kay, and Struan Rodger.
