‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 2’ Cast Talk Real-Life Comparisons, ‘Hunger Games’ Group Texts and More at Comic-Con 2015

The cast and director of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 2 stopped by Comic-Con to meet with fans, talk about the upcoming release of the movie and basically just be adorable.

Nina Jacobson, Willow Shields, Liam Hemsworth, Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and director Francis Lawrence were all in attendance to talk to reporters about what fans can expect from Mockingjay-Part 2.

The group always proves to be a fun one, and as usual, some of the banter went a little off topic, but those are when the best moments happen. Keep reading to see what Jennifer Lawrence group texted her co-stars, what echoes of the real world we can expect to see in the film and more.

Jennifer Lawrence on how Hollywood compares to The Hunger Games

“There are people in Hollywood that have crazy hair, just like in the Capitol… I don’t know I guess there are certain pressures, but again, Josh, Liam and I live on our own island in LA. It’s not like we’re- I don’t really feel the pressures of Hollywood. We just kind of are always in Liam’s house in Malibu, drinking wine.”

Josh Hutcherson on how Mockingjay compares to our world

“I think there’s a lot. I mean I think you have the power of the media a lot in this movie, and its influence over people, and how powerful of a tool or weapon that can be. You have the dangers of extreme control and power and suppression of cultures within the government. Glorified violence is another thing…especially in the first couple of Hunger Games. I think it was pretty big. And the dangers of separation, like the 99% and the 1% and that disparity is growing. It’s a cautionary tale of the way things could go.”

Jennifer on group texting her co-stars

“On the last day I started a whole entire Hunger Games group text. Lots of people didn’t stick around for that one, but Josh and Liam and I are on a group text, yes. I did say that I was hungry, and I did eat a panini and some cheese and crackers and a wrap and a bag of chips. Then I tried to grab french fries and this stern lady literally swatted my hand away and went “No!” And I was like “Ow! I haven’t been talked to like that since the first movie came out. I kinda like it!”
