Syfy’s ’12 Monkeys’ Begins Season 2 Production

Production is officially underway for the second season of Syfy’s critically-acclaimed series 12 Monkeys.

The time-travel thriller’s season 2 production goes into full swing on July 14 in Toronto, Canada and Aaron Stanford (as time-traveler Cole), Amanda Schull (Dr. Cassandra Railly) and Kirk Acevedo (Ramse) will all reprising their starring roles.

In case you haven’t had the chance to watch it yet, the series story of a time traveler named Cole, as he participates in a high-stakes race against the clock to try and avoid the bleak future he escaped from.

More from the 12 Monkeys good news department, it was also announced today that Barbara Sukowa, who played the renowned physicist Dr. Jones; Todd Stashwick who appeared as Deacon, the cunning and brutal leader of a deadly band of scavengers in 2043 called the West 7; and Emily Hampshire as Jennifer Goines, the brilliant and unpredictable mental patient with potential ties to the 12 Monkeys’ conspiracy, will all return as series regulars.

Michael Hogan is also set to join the series as a guest star for a four episode arc. Hogan will be playing Dr. Vance Eckland, a charismatic and intelligent scientist from the future.

The new 13-episode season of 12 Monkeys will air in Winter 2016 on Syfy.
