Bobbi Kristina Brown Dead at 22

After having been in a coma since January, Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, has passed away at the age of 22.

The news that the aspiring singer’s fight for life had ended was announced yesterday evening. “Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away Sunday, July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family,” a representative for the family told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement. “She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”

Brown was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub on Jan. 31 by her boyfriend Nick Gordon, who performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on her before emergency medics arrived at the couple’s home and took the unconscious 21-year-old to a nearby hospital.

Ever since, Bobbi had remained unconscious and on life support until a few weeks ago when she was removed from the machine and moved to a hospice.

This is a tragic blow for the Brown and Houston families. Many will recall that Brown’s mother Whitney Houston was found dead in a bathtub, making her daughter’s death eerily similar to her mother’s.

Bobbi Kristina’s family is pursuing her ex-boyfriend Nick Gordon legally in connection with Bobbi’s death. Gordon is reported “on suicide watch” following Brown’s death.

“Nick is on suicide watch,” a source told the Hollywood Life “He is out of control with regret and sadness. He keeps saying that if only [Bobbi Kristina] had heard his voice, things would have been different. She may have lived.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Brown and Houston families during this difficult time.
