Talking ‘Arrow’ Season 4 with Willa Holland, Katie Cassidy, and Paul Blackthorne
FanBolt had the opportunity to join the Arrow press tables at San Diego Comic Con to chat with the cast about what we can expect to see in season 4. Here are the highlights of what we learned from Willa Holland (Thea Queen), Katie Cassidy (Laurel Lance), and Paul Blackthorne (Quentin Lance).
According to Holland, Thea was always going to end up as Speedy (and yes, that’s her real codename). She’s going to be an official part of Team Arrow this season, but she’s got a bit of a learning curve to work through, just as everyone else did. She’ll also be handling the fallout from her time in the Lazarus Pit. After all, all magic comes with a price! Wait, wrong show.
While Speedy is catching up, Laurel is going to be hitting her stride in the new season. Katie Cassidy let us know that Laurel, Felicity, and Diggle would be taking up Oliver’s position guarding the city, at least for a little while. She added that she thinks Sara would be “worried, but proud” of Laurel taking up the Canary mask. I’m guessing we’ll find out for certain this fall, as it looks like they’ll be taking time in both Arrow and The Flash to set up Legends of Tomorrow.
Things are looking up for Laurel on the other half of her family dynamic, as well. Paul Blackthorne sat down with press to say that we can definitely expect to see Quentin and Laurel on the road to reconciliation. It’s not all beer and skittles, though (what show do you think this is? The Flash?). Something dark is going on in Quentin’s life, and we’re going to see him do something shocking by the end of the first episode of the season. Can’t wait to see what that might be!
Arrow returns to the CW on October 7th!
