Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green are the latest Hollywood couple to call it quits.
The 29-year-old actress and the 42-year-old former Beverly Hills, 90210 star have separated after 5 years of marriage and 11 years as a couple.
“Megan has separated from Brian,” a source told Us Weekly. “They decided on it six months ago.”
The two hit it off in 2004 after meeting on the set of Fox TV show Hope & Faith and began dating shortly after. They were married in 2010 and are parents to sons Noah, 2, and Bodhi, 18 months. Green also has an older son from a previous relationship.
The actors’ troubles reportedly stem from Megan’s “obsession” with landing roles. “They fight about her career,” a source told UK’s Daily Mail. “She was obsessed with getting roles.”
If there’s any truth to the rumor, it’s quite a different tune than the actress was singing in summer of 2014, when she admitted that she’s lost her passion for acting after giving birth to her youngest son.
“I’ve never been an extraordinarily ambitious girl or career-oriented, but especially once I got pregnant with my first son and now (having) my second, it’s so hard to be a working mom especially when your heart is not in your work, when your heart is with your family,” she told Parents.com.
