ABC Family Renews ‘Young & Hungry’ for Third Season

ABC Family has renewed Young & Hungry for a third season just ahead of tonight’s premiere.

The second half of the show’s second season premieres tonight, so naturally ABC bosses figured now would be the best time to tell fans that Gabi, Josh and all their friends would be back for more dramedy next year.

“We are so proud of how Young & Hungry grew during its second season: it ranked as cable’s number one original series in its timeslot in key demos,” said Karey Burke, Executive Vice President of Programming and Development, ABC Family in a statement. “We can’t wait to see what is next for this talented ensemble.”

Here’s a brief recap of where we left the story in May’s mid-season finale, per ABC Family:

Gabi (Emily Osment) left Josh (Jonathan Sadowski) to start a dream job in Switzerland just as they were about to finally take their relationship to the next level. In tonight’s season premiere, Gabi and Josh must decide where they go from here, both professionally and personally.

Young & Hungry returns to ABC Family tonight at 8:00PM ET/PT.
