‘Pretty Little Liars’ Star Shay Mitchell Joins ‘Mother’s Day’ Cast

Pretty Little Liars is on break until January but star Shay Mitchell will be keeping herself busy in the meantime, landing a role opposite some big names in the upcoming romantic comedy Mother’s Day.

The film, which is currently shooting in Atlanta, stars Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson and Jason Sudeikis and is being directed by Garry Marshall.

Also announced to be joining the cast are Timothy Olyphant (Justified, upcoming film Snowden), Britt Robertson (Tomorrowland, The Longest Ride), Jack Whitehall (UK’s Bad Education series), Aasif Mandvi (The Brink, The Daily Show) and Loni Love (The Real, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2).

Mitchell, best known for her role as Emily Fields on the hit ABC Family mystery series Pretty Little Liars, has joined the cast as Tina, Henry’s (Timothy Olyphant) new bouncy, beautiful wife, who wants nothing more than to be the perfect stepmom to Henry and Sandy’s children.

The rest of the new cast’s roles include: Olyphant as Henry, the ex-husband of Aniston’s character, Sandy; Robertson playing Kristin, a slightly neurotic new mother to a one-year-old girl; portraying Zack, an aspiring standup comedian and boyfriend of Robertson’s character Kristin; Mandvi as Russell, a successful doctor and husband of Hudson’s character Jesse; and Love plays Kimberly, a friend of Bradley’s (Sudeikis) and a mom herself.

Filming for Mother’s Day began in Atlanta August 18th and the movie is scheduled to hit theaters everywhere April 29, 2016.
