FX Releases First Teaser for ‘American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson’
The first teaser American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson may be simple, but it gets the point across just fine.
In the first teaser for Ryan Murphy’s new series, we may not any visuals aside from the cast’s names and respective roles in black print over a white background, but we hear some intriguing sound bytes of John Travolta as Robert Shapirt, Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark, Courtney B. Vance as Johnnie Cochran and Cuba Gooding Jr as O.J. himself.
Watch the new teaser below:
Creator Ryan Murphy previously told USA Today about what he hopes to accomplish with the new series saying, “Our goal is to show you the behind-the-scenes mechanizations of crimes, stuff that you didn’t know. When I read the scripts, I didn’t know half the stuff (that occurred). I’m like, ‘That happened? That happened?’ I think people will find them so illuminating. I did.”
In addition to the cast heard in the teaser, the series stars former Friends star David Schwimmer, who will take on the roll of Simpson’s late friend and attorney, Robert Kardashian, Kenneth Choi as Judge Lance Ito, Bruce Greenwood as Gil Garcetti, Sterling K. Brown as Christopher Darden, Joseph Siravo as Fred Goldman, father of victim Ron Goldman, Connie Britton as Faye Resnick, Selma Blair as Kris Jenner, Kelly Dowdle as Nicole Brown Simpson and Jake Koeppl as Ron Goldman.
