‘The Muppets’ Star Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy Talk Recent Breakup on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

The Muppets stars Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy may have broken up, but their awkward experience of working together has just begun.

The pair of exes joined Jimmy Kimmel on his late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live and their interview went about as well as you probably think it did. The interview covered topics ranging from what sparked the break-up to Kermit’s new girlfriend Denise, to Miss Piggy throwing Jimmy a little TV rivalry shade.

The interview with who Kimmel described as “the most prominent interspecies couple in the world” was the first joint talk with the two since their breakup announcement back in August.

As far as the reason for breaking up, Kermit said “Piggy and I had a great relationship for many many years, and we sort of wanted different things, you know?” “It’s the usual laundry list, you know?” Miss Piggy interjected. “Put the lid down, closing the refrigerator door, not doing the dishes while taking a bath in the sink…”

Kermit wasn’t the only one who needed to have his defenses up against the outspoken Miss Piggy, who also took shots at Kimmel, telling the talk show host, “I basically do whatever it is you do here, only better and in high heels.”
