New ‘The X-Files’ Promo Questions Everything

The new promo for The X-Files event series calls everything into question as Mulder and Scully wonder whether or not they’ve been led to believe lies.

In the new 30-second video, we hear Mulder ask an unknown person “What if our work, the X-Files, everything we’ve been led to believe in is a lie?” Wait a minute…what?! We don’t know what kind of revelation could have caused Mulder to say that, but we certainly need to find out!

There are also some new shots from the series including some…thing in a bathtub, the Scully intro that never gets old and more.

Take a look at the intriguing promo below:

The series returns with original stars David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, William B. Davis and Mitch Pileggi also as FBI Agents Fox Mulder, Dana Scully, the Cigarette Smoking Man and Walter Skinner. Joining the cast are Joel McHale (Community), Robbie Amell (The Flash) and Lauren Ambrose (Dig, Six Feet Under), Annabeth Gish (The Bridge), Annet Mahendru (The Americans), Rhys Darby (Flight of the Conchords) and Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley)

The X-Files returns to FOX with a special two-night event beginning Sunday, Jan. 24 (10:00-11:00 PM ET/7:00-8:00 PM PT), following the NFC Championship game and continuing with its normal time period premiere on Monday, Jan. 25 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT).
