Bryan Cranston’s ‘Sneaky Pete’ Gets Series Order From Amazon

Bryan Cranston’s new drama Sneaky Pete has officially been greenlit over at Amazon. The actor is a co-creator of the drama and will serve as executive producer, along with Emmy Award-winning writer David Shore.

The series which follows a con-man (Giovanni Ribisi) who, after leaving prison, takes cover from his past by assuming the identity of his cellmate, Pete. Things get crazy from there after he moves in with Pete’s unsuspecting family and is roped into the family’s bail bond business. He plays the part of a skip tracer,In order to keep the charade up, taking down criminals worse than himself, while also discovering a family life he’s never had.

“We are excited to bring to Amazon’s customers a new compelling series headlined by Giovanni Ribisi from the minds of David Shore and Bryan Cranston,” said Roy Price, Vice President, Amazon Studios. “Sneaky Pete is an incredible addition to Amazon’s expanding drama slate and we are eager for its premiere in 2016.”

Also starring in the Amazon original series are Marin Ireland (Side Effects), Margo Martindale (The Millers), Peter Gerety (Prime Suspect), Libe Barer (Parenthood) and Shane McRae (Still Alice).

Sneaky Pete heads to Amazon Prime Video in the US, UK, Germany, Austria and Japan next year.
