Girl Meets World star Rowan Blanchard may be young, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have her own opinions, especially when it comes to feminism.
“I mean it was definitely humbling to see how far it went out,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “I was just very glad to start a conversation. A conversation that has to be had and a conversation that has needed to be had for a while now and the fact that Jennifer [Lawrence] is speaking out and everything is great!”
Take a peek at Blanchard’s essay below:
“…with as many issues as feminists have succeeded in adopting, many of us seem to have no accepted the fact that police brutality and race are our issues too. “White feminism” forgets all about intersectional feminism. The way a black woman experiences sexism and inequality is different from the way a white woman experiences sexism and inequality. Likewise with trans-women and Hispanic women.”
