Weekend Box Office Report: July 9th – 11th, 2010

Universal’s Despicable Me opened in the #1 spot at the box office this weekend with an estimated $60.1 million. In its second weekend The Twilight Saga: Eclipse dropped 49% to bring in $33.4 million in the #2 spot. Predators opened in third place with an estimated $25.3. Toy Story 3 dropped one spot to #4 in its fourth weekend with $22 million. Dropping from #2 to #5 was The Last Airbender, which dropped 58% from last week to hit $17.2 million.

  1. Expected. I have no idea why Cyrus didnt go straight to DVD. I plan on seeing the first four (Eclipse Saturday and Despicable Me Monday). Im happy to see DM at number one, Im actually really excited to see it myself. Thanks for the info as always jmcharries! I figure Eclipse dropped due to everyone rushing to see it first week in.
