‘Mystery Science Theater 3000’ Revival Taps Felicia Day as Next Mad

Felicia Day has landed the role as the next mad scientist for the upcoming Mystery Science Theater 3000 revival.

Day has joined the cast as the newest mad Kinga, daughter of Dr. Clayton Forrester (her father Forrester sent Janitor Joel Robinson to Space in the original 1988-’99 show) and confirmed the news on Twitter writing, “Yes it’s true, I am going to play Dr Forrester’s daughter on new @MST3K! Will terrorize the hell outta @jonahray!”

“I already enjoy tormenting people, so that will be an advantage,” she told Geek and Sundry about her qualities that make her perfect for the position. “Being a know-it-all and slightly unbalanced will make me a good addition to the stable of former mads.”

The revival was announced when the Kickstarter to fund it launched on November 10th. The $2 million goal has already been reached, so at least 3 new episodes of the series are on the way.

The new goal, $5 million, promises to deliver “a full season of TWELVE” episodes to fans.
