Bacon Gives Efron Footloose Remake Thumbs Up

Original FOOTLOOSE star KEVIN BACON has given ZAC EFRON his seal of approval to take on his role in a remake of the 1984 movie.

Rumors abound suggesting High School Musical director Kenny Ortega will re-team with Efron for an updated version of the musical romantic drama for Paramount studios.

Ortega recently fuelled reports by admitting there’s “a real good chance that this may be a movie”.

And now Bacon has given Efron his blessing to reprise the role of Ren McCormack.

He tells London radio station Heart FM, “I met Zac briefly at an event… and we talked… only briefly… but he seemed like a really nice kid and I really do wish him all the best with it.”
