Olsen Twins Officially Not Appearing in ‘Fuller House’
Lori Loughlin has confirmed that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will not be appearing in Fuller House.
Loughlin, who returned to play Becky Katsopolis in the series, spoke with The Huffington Post about the Olsen twins, saying that the shooting for the season has already wrapped and that “they didn’t come in.”
In case any fans were holding out hope that the pair could appear in future seasons, Loughlin said chances were slim on that front as well, telling the site, “No, I don’t think they’re going to make a cameo. They didn’t this season.”
The last anyone officially heard about whether or not the twins would return was that they were “teetering” on the decision.
“We’ve been able to reassemble all of the cast. The Olsen twins are teetering on whether or not they’ll be around,” Netflix chief content office Ted Sarandos previously stated. “There’s a bunch of stunt opportunity with them in the future … [but] they’re not in the current creative.”
Before it was previously announced that the twins had passed on the project, the two stated that they had no idea that Fuller House was even a thing. “We just found out about it today,” said Mary-Kate previously. “I guess we’re going to talk to the creators and see what’s happening.”
“I ran into Bob [Saget] the other day and we didn’t even talk about it,” continued Ashley. “I’m shocked I haven’t heard from John [Stamos],” said Mary-Kate.
Aside from the twins, all of the original Full House cast members are set to appear in Fuller House.
Fuller House will begin streaming on Netflix in 2016.
