‘Twilight’ Continues To Build Momentum In Advanced Ticket Sales

While “Twilight” isn’t expected to break any Box Office records, or come close to the historic opening weekend of “The Dark Knight,” the film is continuing to build significant momentum in the advance ticketing realm.

Thanks to a young, internet-savvy demographic, “Twilight” is currently outpacing advance ticket sales for several blockbusters at the same point in the sales cycle at MovieTickets.com, including:

-“The Dark Knight”
-“Spider-Man 3”
-“Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”
-“Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”
-“Lord of the Rings: Return of the King”
-“Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers”

Additionally, the film is outselling “High School Musical 3” almost 2-to-1 and “Sex and the City: The Movie” by nearly 3-to-1 at the same point in the sales cycle.

As of 4:30 p.m. ET on November 18th, 2008, MovieTickets.com has sold out 615 performances for “Twilight” in North America.
