The Truth Is Still Out There in New ‘X-Files’ Promo

Are we truly alone? That’s the age old question our favorite sci-fi series always asked, and the question is raised again in the new X-Files promo – which showcases a number of different UFO sighting videos that have been posted online.

“We must ask ourselves, are we truly alone?” David Duchovny’s haunting voice asks.

Take a look at the promo below.

It’s been thirteen years since the original series aired, but the story isn’t over quite yet. The X-Files returns to FOX on January 24th with what the network is calling a six-episode event series.

Fans can look forward to creator/executive producer Chris Carter still being at the helm of the show, with stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson returning to their roles as FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. Mitch Pileggi is also returning as FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner. Joel McHale (“Community”), Robbie Amell (“The Flash”), Lauren Ambrose (“Dig,” “Six Feet Under”), and more will be guest starring. Oh, and one of our favorites, William B. Davis (Cigarette Smoking Man) will be back as well!

  1. Is there any truth in the rumor that Jodie foster was supposed to play Gillian Anderson,s part at the beginning of x-files ?

    1. John – I haven’t heard that she was up for the original role. But I do know that Scully was inspired by Jodie Foster’s portrayal of Clarice Starling in the film The Silence of the Lambs.
