Atlanta Filming Weekly Roundup: ‘All Eyez on Me,’ ‘Powers’ and More!
What’s filming in Atlanta now? What’s heading to Atlanta? From the news that Baywatch will be filming in Georgia to signs all over the city this week for All Eyez on Me, we have all the local filming news below! It’s our last filming roundup for 2015, but we’ll be back with the next one in full force on January 8, 2016!
Your Atlanta Filming Roundup for the week of December 12 – 18th is below!
Atlanta Filming: Coming Soon
- The Baywatch movie will be filming in Savannah this March and April. The film stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Zac Efron.
- Miles Teller’s latest project, Thank You for Your Service will film in Atlanta.
- Edgar Wright’s new film Baby Driver will film in Atlanta (The film stars Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Spacey, Lily James, and Ansel Elgort).
- It’s confirmed that the new Spider-Man will film in Atlanta.
- Divergent: Allegiant Part 2 will film 12/13 – 12/20 before likely pausing for Christmas.
- Jermaine Dupree and Queen Latifah’s new Lifetime series The Rap Game will film in Atlanta.
- Donald Glover’s FX comedy Atlanta was picked up for a full season and will film here in the near future.
- Lee Daniels’ new series Star started filming here this month.
- Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will film in Atlanta beginning in February 2016 (the exact date is rumored to be Feb 15th)
- Will Packer is developing a TV show for NBC called Buckhead, and that will be filmed, you guessed it, in Buckhead!
- Daniel Radcliffe’s new film Young Americans is heading to Atlanta to film.
Atlanta Filming Spotted: Currently in Production
- All Eyez on Me had multiple sightings this week. On Thursday, signs were around 10th Street and 75/85, and this morning they were nearby Spring Street and 12th Street.
- On Thursday, Powers was spotted filming near Fernbank.
- On Monday, A Meyers Christmas was spotted filming Coweta.
