ABC Passes on ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Spinoff

Marvel

Bad news for fan’s of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s Morse & Hunter that were anticipating their spinoff series. ABC has decided not to move forward with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off Marvel’s Most Wanted. The network has decided not to pick up the series, which would have starred Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood as Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter, for the fall season.

Palicki and Blood’s characters were written out of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this season in order to set up their spin-off, which would have seen them on the run with no friends, no S.H.I.E.L.D. and a long list of enemies looking to claim a bounty on their heads. Able to trust no one but each other, Bobbi and Hunter form an uneasy alliance with Dominic Fortune, a rogue adventurer with a wealth of resources and even more adversaries, who agrees to protect them so long as they help him with his own agenda. While on dangerous missions that take them to every corner of the globe, the two heroes will help anyone in need, all while trying to uncover the conspiracy that put their own lives in jeopardy.

Whether the characters will be brought back to the main series or not for its already-confirmed fourth season is unknown. The prospective series’ pilot was written by Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski, who were set to serve as showrunners.
