Timberlake in Guys & Dolls Remake?

Justin Timberlake is apparently being considered for a role in Guy Ritchie’s upcoming remake of Guys and Dolls. Britain’s The Sun reports that Timberlake and Ritchie had drinks on Monday to discuss the role.

The original Guys and Dolls starred Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra and focused on the romance between a gambler and a missionary.

    Is it to be set in the roaring 1920’s, 30’s, or is it a modern remake? That would make a big difference. And Justin is taking the Sinatra role…..hmmmmm…. hard to do but maybe. Richie as Brando…Ah…No….does not work. Nice try but failure. You need a drama person with comic timing.
    In the end, I do not think this mix of singers / actors/ will work.
