Natalie Portman Says She’s Done For Now With Marvel Films

Natalie Portman has revealed that she doesn’t think she’ll ever do another Marvel movie after her character Jane Foster missed out on Thor: Ragnarok.

Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, she said: “As far as I know, I’m done. I don’t know if, maybe one day, they’ll ask for an Avengers 7 or whatever. I have no idea! But as far as I know I’m done. But it was a great thing to be a part of.

After briefly being mentioned by Thor in one scene of Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Jane Foster seems to have fallen off the radar and it would appear that the Black Swan star hasn’t been asked to reprise her role in a future title.

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has previously stated that Natalie would not appear in the upcoming Thor movie, Thor: Ragnarok, because there are only a few scenes that take place on Earth and so there is no need for Thor’s human romantic interest.

However, the brunette beauty hasn’t let the news get her down and she has revealed that she is “really proud” of her newest venture starring as Jackie Kennedy in the biographical film Jackie.

She said: “It was a really incredible experience getting to play Jackie. The film, which I’m really proud of, is going to premiere at the Venice Film Festival and then the Toronto Film Festival. I don’t know when it’s coming out in theaters.”
