‘iZombie’ Executive Producers Talk Changes for Season 3

The executive producers of iZombie, Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero, both sat down with press to tease what we can expect for our intrepid crew in the upcoming season.

Diane Ruggiero let us know that we’ll be seeing a lot more of Clive’s backstory, especially in episode two. We also might not be seeing a lot of romance in Liv’s future. “She has a bad dating history. It’s just downright irresponsible if she dates anyone else,” said Ruggiero.

Rob Thomas discussed the new zombie army that’s coming into Seattle and becoming a sort of antagonist for Liv and the team. “They are essentially preparing for the day when humans discover that zombies walk among them. So they are gearing up, they are arming themselves, training, and they want Liv to be part of that organization.” It sounds like the lines between the good guys and the bad guys is going to be much less clear this season.

iZombie is returning to the CW mid-season in 2017.
