Ben Affleck’s Batman Movie Set for Release Before ‘Justice League 2’

Ben Affleck’s Batman movie will be released before Justice League 2.

The Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment movie is being written and directed by Affleck, who will also star in the film, and Justice League 2 has been pushed back to make way for it, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Zack Snyder, director of Justice League, which Ben appears in, and its sequel, has revealed that he will work on the thriller The Last Photograph during his time off between the two movies.

Meanwhile, in October, Ben admitted he was still negotiating what budget he is going to have to spend on his Batman film.

The film has been predicted to be released in 18 months’ time but Affleck insists there is no shooting schedule in place yet as he hasn’t finished the script and hasn’t finalized how much money he has to spend with Warner Bros. Studios who are backing the project with DC Entertainment.

In a Facebook Live interview, he said: “There is no Batman movie happening yet, we’re still trying to figure it out, you know, get the script and budget and all that stuff.”

Affleck has also clarified comments he made earlier in which he suggested the title of the superhero flick will be The Batman.

The Oscar winner insisted he was just thinking out loud when he made the comment and he hasn’t yet got a name in the frame.

He explained: “I mentioned it the other day … it’s been around for a long time, but the movie … And someone said, ‘What are you calling it?’ and I had said, like, back when we were promoting another movie, I was like, ‘We don’t have a name for it, we’re just going with ‘The Batman’ or Batman movie’, and I said that, and everyone was like ‘Affleck announces the name of his Batman movie.’ “
