DiCaprio & Maguire May Star In “The Third Man” Remake

According to reports Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire could star in an upcoming remake of ‘The Third Man’. Maguire would probably play writer Holly Martins while DiCaprio would probably play Harry Lime. Steven Knight (Eastern Promises) is writing the script.

‘The Third Man’ is considered a film classic in which novelist Holly Martins arrives in Vienna at the invitation of an ex-school friend, Harry Lime only to discover that Lime has recently died in a peculiar traffic accident. From talking to Lime’s friends and associates Martins soon notices that some of the stories are inconsistent, and determines to discover what really happened to Harry Lime. Joseph Cotton and Orson Welles played those respective roles in the original.
