The Lego Batman Movie, which features the voices of Will Arnett and Rosario Dawson, opened in first place this weekend earning $55.6 million domestically.

Opening in second was the Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker, which debuted with $46.8 million ($55 million production budget). The film beat studio executives expectations, but it did not beat the opening weekend numbers of the original film, which opened to $85 million over the Valentine’s Day weekend in 2015.

Franchise stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson filmed Fifty Shades Darker and the third film in the series, Fifty Shades Freed, back-to-back and while they say they have enjoyed working on films, they are ready to move on to future projects.

“I’m ready to do other stuff,” Dakota told Britain’s Glamour magazine. “Maybe they will be sexy (projects), or maybe they will be the complete opposite. But I do know that I’m ready to move on.”

“We have done two movies back to back now, and I’m actually finished with it,” Jamie told press in 2016. “I’ve done Fifty Shades forever. I move on very fast in my mind. As much as, from the outside, people think you are synonymous with one character, I’m very much like, ‘Right, that’s done,’ and move on to the next project – and worry about that character.”

Keanu Reeves’ John Wick: Chapter 2 opened in third with $30 million, while Split, which has topped the list for the past three weeks, has fallen to fourth place with $9.3 million.

Hidden Figures, which is in the running for Best Picture at the Academy Awards later this month, closes out the top five with $8 million, while La La Land falls from fifth to eight.
