Owen Wilson To Voice Marmaduke

According to reports, Owen Wilson will be voicing the leading Great Dane Marmaduke in a big screen movie of the cartoon character. The movie will be based on the poular comic strip that was created in 1954 by Brad Anderson and Phil Leeming. The script is to be written by Tm Rasmussen and Vince Di Meglio (License to Wed). This live-action/CG movie will follow a family named the Winslows who move from Kansas to Orange County with theor dog Marmaduke, a slobbery pooch that creates chaos wherever he goes. It will see the title character “navigate a volatile Mutts Vs. Pedigrees turf war, woo the purebred of his dreams and overcome a fall from grace.”

Tom Dey (Shanghai Noon) will direct and the human cast will be made up of Judt Greer, Lee Pace, and William H. Macy. Other dogs in the film will be voiced by Fergie, Emma Stone, George Lopez, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Steve Coogan, Damon Wayans and Marlon Wayans.
