Terminator Terminated?? Finale Numbers Don’t Help Chances

Possible series finale for Fox’s cyborg show does little to improve chances at renewal with flat numbers; Dollhouse matches season low.

Fan favorite Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles had its last shot to prove to Fox that it was worth renewing and the fans came out in droves! Well, not really. The season finale performed on par with the rest of the series, which doesn’t bode well for a series pickup.

Friday’s ender pulled in a 1.3 rating and 5 share in the adult demo, says TV by the Numbers, which is pretty much consistent with the show’s recent performance. It was third in its time period, losing to a repeat of Wife Swap… eek!

Terminator’s Friday night partner Dollhouse continues to struggle, matching a season low in the adult demo (1.4).

The two shows perform well when DVR playback numbers are figured in, but unless Fox finds a way to make money off of DVR playback, it looks grim for both.

Will you try to save either Termintor or Dollhouse?
