It seems like we might be getting closer to ‘Ghostbusters 3’. Most of the original cast have confirmed they will be back, and now the director of the first two films has signed on for the long-awaited sequel!
In a recent interview, Ivan Reitman came right out and said that yes, he would be directing the third film. He went on to say that the second draft of the script was in the works with writers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky (year One). No confirmation was forthcoming about the Sigourney Weaver-led rumor that Bill Murray’s character will be a ghost in the film. Reitman said, “I’m not going to comment on what’s in the script and on what Sigourney may or may not have said. There’s some very cool things in the new draft, let’s just put it that way.”
