‘Splice’ to be Released this Summer

‘Splice’, a sci-fi thriller starring Adrien Brody (King Kong) and Sarah Polley (Dawn of the Dead), will be released by Warner Bros. this summer.

Directed and co-written by Vincenzo Natali (Cube), ‘Splice’ centers on genetic engineers Clive (Adrien Brody) and Elsa (Sarah Polley) who specialize in splicing together DNA from different species to create hybrids. Their bid to do the same with human DNA runs into trouble when it is forbidden by the pharmaceutical company that bankrolls them, but they decide to perform the experiments anyway. The result is Dren, a beautiful and intelligent creature who shows some unexpected physical developments and starts to grow and learn at an accelerated rate, quickly threatening to become a nightmare.
