Atlanta’s Premiere of Cirque du Soleil Luzia Brought Out the Stars!

Cirque du Soleil opened in Atlanta last Thursday night (September 14) with their new mind-blowing imaginative and visually-stunning production LUZIA. We weren’t the only cool kids in attendance (humor me), there were a few other stars of the Georgia film and television scene there as well, including several cast members of The Walking Dead – Christian Serratos, Josh McDermitt, and Khary Payton – and the cast of Fox’s new series The Gifted – Amy Acker, Percy Hynes White, Natalie Alyn Lind, Blair Redford!

Also spotted – Riley Voelkel (The Originals), Chloe East (Kevin (Probably) Saves the World), Lyndie Greenwood (Sleepy Hollow), Tristin Mays (MacGyver), Alton Brown (Food Network), James MacKay (Dynasty), Chipper Jones (Former Atlanta Brave), Derek J (Fashion Queens, Real Housewives of Atlanta, Eric Graise (Step Up: High Water), and Emily Giffin (Author).

Take a look at the star-studded opening night gallery below!

These cool kids were also there and totally geeking out (humor me just a little bit longer).

Nerd Herd

Seriously though, a huge thank you to Cirque for having us out to check out the performances! Check back Monday for our official review of LUZIA, because (spoiler alert) we LOVED it and we know you will too!

About LUZIA

In a series of grand visual surprises and breathtaking acrobatic performances, LUZIA takes audiences on a surrealistic journey filled with wonder, playfulness and striking artistry. Smoothly passing from an old movie set to the ocean to a smoky dance hall or an arid desert, LUZIA cleverly brings to the stage multiple places, faces and sounds of Mexico taken from both tradition and modernity. Rich in awe-inspiring moments, LUZIA enchants by incorporating rain into acrobatic and artistic scenes – a first for a Cirque du Soleil touring production.

LUZIA by Cirque du Soleil is currently performing under a redesigned white-and-gold Big Top at Atlantic Station through November 19, 2017. For show and ticket information, visit www.cirquedusoleil.com/luzia.
