‘The X-Files’ Event Series Trailer Debuts at New York Comic-Con

The X-Files is back in 2018 for a 10-episode second installment of the event series! The series originally premiered on September, 10 1993. Over the course of its nine-season run, the influential series went from breakout sci-fi favorite to massive global hit, and became one of the most successful television dramas of all time. The show, which earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award, follows FBI special agents Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson), as they investigate unexplained cases – “X-Files” – for which the only answers involve paranormal phenomena.

An all-new second chapter of The X-Files event series is currently in production for a premiere in 2018. Series creator Chris Carter returns as executive producer, writer and director, with stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson returning in their iconic roles.
