Here is the latest on the long rumored Kurt Cobain biopic. Oren Moverman (The Messenger) is in negotiations to rewrite the script and direct the film about Cobain for Universal.

Back in 2007, David Benioff (Brothers) first took on writing the project, and did research with Cobain’s old friends in Aberdeen and Seattle to complete the drafts of his Universal script. Background material for the biopic will partially come from the 2001 biography by Charles R. Cross, titled ‘Heavier Than Heaven: A Biography of Kurt Cobain’. Universal owns the life rights of both Cobain and Courtney Love.
