FanBolt’s 2017 Geeky Holiday Gift Guide

For The Stranger Things Fan

Stragner Things

Notes from the Upside Down: An Unofficial Guide to the Stranger Things: No fan of Stranger Things wants to accept that there will not be new episodes until 2019, but it is what is – and it simply means we’re all going to be rewatching the first two seasons over and over again until we have a season 3. This unofficial guide is a great way to really get to know the series even better than you thought possible – and it’s packed with every fact you could ever wish for—from insights into the origins of the show, including the mysterious Montauk Project conspiracy theory; a useful eighties playlist (because, of course); and much more. (A PopVinyl also makes a great stocking stuffer to accompany this one!)

For The Wonder Woman Fan

Emma LEGO Clocks

Wonder Woman LEGO Clock from Lego Watches: Whether your a fan of Wonder Woman or even just LEGO in general, there’s a ton of titles to pick from – whether you want a clock for your nightstand or desk – or even a wrist watch for the little geek in your life. For me personally, I adore the oversized LEGO version of Wonder Woman – which is fully adjustable with a backlit LCD screen. Since she is fully adjustable, she’s also multiple purpose for the Geek Girl in your life, I mean who doesn’t need Wonder Woman on-call holding your favorite pen on your desk?Every Geek Girl can use an extra hand or two from Wonder Woman every once in while! Check out our full review of both the BulbBotz and Lego Watches line here!

For The Muppets Fan

The Muppets

Muppets Meet the Classics: The Phantom of the Opera: If you have a Muppets fan in your life that is also a fan of the classics – then this is an unique present they will really appreciate. We absolutely adore this mashup between our favorite Muppets and our favorite classics!

Join Kermit, Miss Piggy, Uncle Deadly, and the other Muppets as they bring this gripping tale of mystery and suspense to life in their own hilarious way. This classic tale of love, intrigue, and jealousy at the Paris Opera House, which has thrilled readers, musical lovers, and movie goers for more than a century, has now been re-imagined with the cast of the Muppets. Readers will gasp, cry, laugh, and laugh again as Kermit (as Raoul), Miss Piggy (as Christine), Uncle Deadly (as the phantom), and the chickens (as the ballet corps) give a whole new meaning to the word “classic.” This imaginative tale is sure to win the hearts of all Muppets fans, as well as fans of literary classics.

For The Star Wars Fan:

BulbBotz and Lego Watches: Star Wars

BulbBotz and Lego Watches: Star Wars Clocks: These two clocks have a permanent place on the mantal of my living room. They’re from two separate brands – but both from the same parent company – ClicTime.

The Star Wars BB-8 Clock ($34) stands at 7.5 inches and comes with a light up head and LDC display, you also get the alarm clock and snooze functionality that you do with all these clocks. This little clock is equally adorable to our favorite new on-screen Star Wars character!

And what can you say about LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Minifigure Clock ($30), other than he’s freaking awesome. With his iconic black armor and a backlit LCD screen, this clock is a must for any Star Wars fan. It stands at 9.5 inches tall and is fully adjustable – you can have some fun with it!

For The Little Fan

Lego Watches: Star Wars, Batgirl, Spider-Man

BB-8 Minifigure Link Watch: So what about for the little geek in your life? Check out one of these watches available from a variety of different fandoms – it’s the perfect way to teach little geeks that they should be proud of who they are and what they love – and they can even literally where their geek pride on their sleeve!

My favorite of the above has to be the BB-8 Minifigure Link Watch ($25), because I mean it’s BB-8. The watch comes with multi-colored, interchangeable links which allows for plenty of design possibilities that allows for an unique watch that fits all wrist sizes.

That’s one of the things I loved the most about LEGO growing up – and even now. It promotes and encourages creativity. You can create whatever your mind comes up with – whether it’s following the directions – or doing something that is completely unique and outside-the-box.

For The Coffee Fan

Bizzy Coffee

Bizzy Organic Cold Brew Double Shot – Variety 3 Pack: These little double shots of Bizzy Organic Cold Brew are magical – and they make for the perfect stocking stuffers! Also makes for an especially good present for family members or loved ones who need coffee to operate for early mornings (aka Christmas morning!). They’re also great to keep in the fridge and grab when you’re running late and don’t have time to stop for coffee – but still need your caffeine!

These Bizzy Organic Cold Brew Double Shots contains 130-150mg of naturally occurring caffeine – they have no additives – just coffee and natural flavoring. They’re also USDA Certified Organic, 0 calories, and sugar-free! They come in reusable, resealable, BPA FREE plastic PET bottle – they fit perfectly your pocket – and in your Christmas stocking!

For The Foodie/ Craft Cocktail Fan

Drink Vermont

Drink Vermont: There’s not many Geek Girls (over 21 of course) who wouldn’t love wine for any holiday – or even “just because” moments. But take the gift of wine to the next level by pairing it with a book that dives into the exploration of the flavors, people and locations throughout the state that the wine is from. It brings a little more culture to the present and makes for a great read!

Liza Gershman’s Drink Vermont is one of our favorite books to pair with a delicious wine from the northeastern state! Not a big wine drinker? No worries. Vermont is home to to eighteen distilleries, nearly fifty breweries, and more than a dozen wineries, so even if the Geek Girl or Geek Guy in your life isn’t a fan of wine, you have everything from hard apple cider to whiskey (and everything in between) to pick from.

Drink Vermont offers not only great information on the state, but it also offers a fun sample of recipes, interviews, and reviews of breweries and distilleries.

For The Car Fan

2018 Kia Stinger

2018 Kia Stinger: So this one is more of a “Treat Yourself” present as the cast of Parks and Rec would say. If you’re in the market for a new car in 2018, then take the time to explore the newest car from Kia. I guarantee it will blow your mind just as it has mine. My expectations were not only met but exceeded with features, style and comfort that is raising the bar for the sports car market.

Did I mention it starts at $31,000? Take a look at my first experience with this game changer here.

For The Zombie Fan

Atlanta Movie Tours Bridge Shot
Guests posing at Nelson Street Bridge in Castleberry Hill with Insider Michael.

Atlanta Movie Tours – Carrie Sagel Burns and Patti Davis, both fans of AMC’s The Walking Dead, started Atlanta Movie Tours in early 2012. Their “Big Zombie Tour” provides fans with a 3 hour walking and driving tour of all of Atlanta’s local zombie hangouts. While the locations may vary from tour to tour, fans can count on seeing locations that they recognize from Seasons 1 of The Walking Dead. From the hospital where it all began to the seemingly accommodating walls of Terminus, this tour takes you through urban Atlanta to rediscover where your favorite characters from the series came to life… or came back to life. You’ll learn first-hand about what it takes to be a walker on the show from an Insider who has, quite literally, walked the walk.

Interested in locations from other seasons? They have several other tour options for you from The Walking Dead, including a tour in Downtown Senoia (aka Woodbury) that is about an hour south of Atlanta where fans can explore “Woodbury” and the Georgia countryside surrounding it—all while driving along the walls of “Alexandria.” Visit Morgan’s apartment (Watch that welcome mat!), follow Michonne’s footsteps into the zombie arena, and you can take a seat at the table in the very barn where Rick and The Governor met. Experience it all with an Insider who has appeared on the show!

If you’re a zombie fan and you haven’t been on these tours yet – you’re missing out! Atlanta is zombie-central, and this tour is pure heaven for any fan! FanBolt absolutely loved it! Grab tickets today!
