LARRY DAVID has dismissed speculation his on screen marital breakdown in Sunday
(21Oct07) night’s episode of U.S. TV show CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM deliberately mirrored his real life off screen.

The comedian’s wife of 14 years, Laurie David, filed for divorce in July (07). The couple had announced their separation in June (07).

But David insists Sunday’s episode – in which his on screen wife, played by Cheryl Hines, walked out on him – was just a “very weird” coincidence, adding he had written the scene long before his marriage disintegrated.

He says, “This was all written before any of my marriage problems. I knew when we were filming what was going on. Obviously, it didn’t just happen overnight.”
