Weekend Box Office Report: April 30th – May 2nd, 2010

A Nightmare on Elm Street had a dream opening weekend, taking the number one spot at the box office with a gross of $32.2 million. How to Train Your Dragon dropped to #2 this weekend, earning $10.8 million in its seventh week. Date Night held on to the #3 spot, bringing in $7.6 million. The Back-Up Plan dropped two spots to #4 this weekend, grossing $7.2 million. Furry Vengeance was the week’s other top 10 debut, coming in at #5 with a gross of $6.5 million.
