Weekend Box Office Report: May 7th – 9th, 2010

As expected, Iron Man 2 debuted at the top of the box office this weekend, blowing away the competition with a $133.6 million opening weekend. A Nightmare on Elm Street dropped a massive 72.1% in its second weekend to bring in $9.2. How to Train Your Dragon is still holding strong, earning $6.8 million in its eighth week and dropping one to #3. Date Night also dropped one spot to #4, bringing in $5.3 million. The Back-Up Plan dropped to #5 this weekend, grossing $4.3 million.
